It’s amazing how computer technology quickly advances as the days pass by. Just at the wake of 2013, there are now a lot of reports on possible and newly developed technological advances. Imagine, just during the first month of 2013, Samsung is now planning to develop new displays for android smartphones that are beyond 440dpi or dots per inch a possible contender for apple iphone 5’s pixel density of 326dpi. According to news reports, the technology implements "hexagon and diamond-shaped pixel layouts" to push pixel density above 440ppi, a significant boost over rival Apple. Definitely this will raise the bar even up higher for all competing smartphones in the market and will definitely be the threshold of the next generation smartphones.
Little advancements like these are only the first steps toward more and more significant technological advancements. According to more news sources, google is currently in the verge of developing an “ambitious” intelligent artificial intelligence search technology with computers that truly understand the human language. It will be a pioneering technology for voice recognition computer technology. The technology could be used to create hyper-intelligent search engines that answer questions when asked, instead of typed on the keyboard. This kind of technology will definitely leave hardware tools, like the mouse and the keyboard, and even touch screen obsolete. What’s more, eventually, new technology of eye tracking will be put into greater purpose with identification and security softwares and technology. I can only imagine now, webcams built with the purpose to identify user through retinal scans and people talking to their laptops.
